THE 12″ LUCKY DIP (41): Heaven 17 : (We Don’t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang

Six years ago, on 3 November 2020, I posted this 12″ and its b-side with the heading “AMERICA……DO YOUR DUTY TODAY!!!”

I didn’t post it on 5 November 2024, and the evil, twisted sick fucker got in for a second-term, the damage of which will be felt for decades to come.

It’s the mid-term elections today.  I’m hoping he’ll get a bit of comeuppance and his powers can perhaps be held in a check a bit, although with the way he and his cohorts treat the democratic processes, it may prove to be a forlorn wish.

Anyway, good people of America….please do your duty today.

I spent a couple of hours starting to rebuild the archive from the old blog, and managed to repost everything from October 2006.  Click here is you fancy reading through what was a very tentative start to things, with posts going up at random times of the day rather than the regular slot that I’d eventually adopt once I found out how to do that!!

And a huge apology to those of you who get email notifications anytime something fresh is posted on the blog. I hadn’t appreciated that, even though I’m post-dating everything, you get things sent as if they are totally fresh.   Sorry to say there’s many more to come in due course whenever I get time, so I wouldn’t blame you if you turned off the e-mail notications.
