Nicol & Elliot, consisting of Andrew Nicol (acoustic guitar and vocals) and Rachel Elliot (violin and vocals), when asked what type of music they played, gave the reply that it sat within the broad church of Americana but specifically somewhere around folk-noir, indie-folk and alt-country.
They initially began working together in 2018 and in due course would digitally release 12 songs across 3 x EPs between 2019 and 2021. Last Night From Glasgow, in April 2022, provided a physical release for the music, with an album entitled Nichol & Eliot – 3 EPs

It was only a few months later, in November 2022, that Andrew and Rachel announced, via the band’s Facebook page, that they were we’re taking an indefinite break to focus on other things for the time being.
