  1. This is the finest single by anyone, anywhere, anytime. Simply perfect combination of emotional, evocative and exotic (it’s set in the tropics after all) lyric and a haunting riff. I said something along these lines to Grant over several pints in the Barony back in the day and he was suitably modest but obviously proud of the song. He said it formed part of a kind of “coming of age” trilogy with Unkind and Unwise and Ghost And The Black Hat.

    @chaval, I’m glad you got to tell Grant how very, very wonderful the song is. He is greatly missed but what an absolute treasure trove of stories & songs he shared with the world.
