THE NEW VINYL VILLAIN 
Lions After Slumber is indeed terrific. Bassist is a star. That Auteurs’ orchestral LP is pretty excellent too. Saw Luke Haines playing an entertaining acoustic set at a benefit show in an Islington pub on Sunday, just a few weeks after seeing him rockin’ out with Peter Buck in a Cambridge pub basement. The venues may be tiny these days, but he’s still got it.
