  1. Yesterday I felt terribly exhausted. The September mix – my favourite monthly mix in 2023 so far – came at the right time to transfer some of its energy to me. Thank you for that.

I especially enjoyed “Children”, “What’s the World” (Wiki: “… popular among die-hard James fans to the present day …”) and the heartbreaking “When I was a young man”.

Who quotes Eliot at the beginning? Robert Forster?

  2. I think I got it. The Eliot Sample is also from “Schubert Dip”. It opens the song “Longtime”. You mixed it up with the last 3 min (or so) from “Children”.

On Spotify I found the source of the sample:
Argo released in 1956 the record “The Waste Land”. On this Robert Speaight reads poems by T.S. Eliot. The sample is the end of the poem “The Hollow Man”.

Unlike EMF, however, Eliot and Speaight reveal how the world will end.
